Promoting Intergenerational Inclusion and Sustainability

Under the slogan “PLAY GREEN, STAY KEEN!”, Green Generation Games invited seniors and youth volunteers to team up for fun, eco-friendly sports competitions. The event aimed to promote intergenerational inclusion while fostering sustainability through a zero-waste sports concept. Youth volunteers took the lead by crafting sports props from upcycled materials and partnering with seniors in friendly competitions. The Emperor artistes' "Stars Squad" ramped up the excitement with live performances and a thrilling Trump Card Skill Challenge, making it a day to remember.

Mr. Alex Yeung, Vice Chairman of Emperor Group, shared: "We hope Green Generation Games marks the beginning of stronger collaboration between youth and seniors. Friendship knows no age, today’s event bridges generations, combining the wisdom of elders with the fresh energy of young people. Through fun and interactive sports, we are sparking meaningful connections. Inclusion is key to driving society forward."

Ms. Fung Sau-man, Executive Director of the Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council, added: “This event beautifully combines sports, sustainability, and community care. It brings seniors, youth, and volunteers together, encouraging intergenerational harmony. This aligns with our mission to build a compassionate and supportive community by linking social resources.”

Emperor Stars Squad Ignites Green Generation Games

Adding to the day’s excitement, Emperor artistes formed the “Stars Squad” to participate and perform in the games. Arvin Tsang, Andy Lai, Dark Wong, and VIVA energised the crowd with captivating live performances and their participation in the games.

The event featured the innovative “Trump Card” skill challenges, where each artiste’s unique skill card could be activated during specific games to give participating teams a bonus edge. This engaging feature, paired with the enthusiasm of fans and participants, created unforgettable moments of interaction. To enhance the experience, the venue also included themed photo booths and a fan cheering zone, ensuring a fun and interactive atmosphere for all participants.

Youth Volunteers Driving Collaboration: A Step Toward a More Inclusive and Sustainable Future

Green Generation Games mobilised 50 youth volunteers from Emperor Group, the Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council, and Emperor Entertainment’s “0 e:ffect”. These volunteers teamed up with 50 seniors to form nine teams, competing in eight creative and eco-friendly game stations. Youth volunteers played a vital role as mentors and companions for the seniors, offering guidance, encouragement, and support throughout the games. They also participated in event planning and coordination, highlighting the spirit of intergenerational collaboration and teamwork.

The success of Green Generation Games was made possible by the generous support of sponsors, including Ulfenbo, Chef Nic, Snapio, Pocari Sweat, and Soyjoy.
