Albert Yeung Sau Shing (Changli, China) Elderly Service Centre, a nursing home in Hebei Province with its construction funded by Dr. Albert Yeung, Chairman of Emperor Group, grand opened on September 23, 2017. Dr. Yeung donated RMB 10 million to the People’s Government of Changli County, Hebei Province through Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation in 2014. It was completed in May 2016 and put into service in June 2016.
Mr. Alex Yeung, Corporate Executive of the Group, attended the ceremony with Changli County officials, including Mr. Hao Zhijun, Standing Committee Member and Office Director of Changli County Committee, Mr. Liu Xuebin, General Secretary of Changli County Committee, Mr. Zhang Guitian, Standing Committee Member and Deputy Governor of Changli County Committee, as well as Mr. Li Zhangjun, Director of Changli County Civil Affairs Bureau. Mr. Alex Yeung was also accompanied by staff volunteers of the Group, who together visited the elderly residents on the same trip.

As the elderly are approaching the end of their lives, it’s hard for them to reciprocate others’ kindness, and hence their needs are often overlooked. Albert Yeung Sau Shing (Changli, China) Elderly Service Centre is currently the most comprehensive and largest service centre in the name of the foundation, built in a bid to benefit more elderly”, Mr. Alex Yeung said.
The centre mainly serves those with no relative and no income, taking care of all their basic living needs. The centre covers an area of 53,189.4 square metres and provides a total of 608 beds. It consists of three apartment blocks and an integrated service building. Bedrooms are located in the apartment blocks, while integrated service building is equipped with a canteen, kitchen, infirmary, exhibition hall and office area. An activity room is available on each floor of the apartment blocks for the elderly to watch TV, socialize and read newspapers. There is also a large green space in the outdoor, including three pieces of farm land and two lakes. The elderly could grow all kinds of vegetables at the farm land during their spare time. Comfortable and spacious area was also provided for the elderly to exercise so as to maintain their physical and mental health.
