Emperor Group Centre in Beijing Awarded Global Green Building LEED Platinum Certification

Emperor International Holdings Limited (“Emperor International” or “the Group”) (Stock Code: 163) has announced that its Emperor Group Centre, located on Chang’an Avenue in Beijing, has been awarded the Platinum certification under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) v4.1 Operations and Maintenance (Existing Buildings) standards by the U.S. Green Building Council. This recognition is a significant endorsement of the Group’s commitment to implementing green building practices in property development and commends the Group’s outstanding performance in property operations and maintenance.

 

LEED, an internationally recognised green building rating system, conducts comprehensive assessments of various technical aspects in operations and maintenance, including location and transportation, sustainable sites, water efficiency, materials and resources, indoor environmental quality, and innovation. The Beijing Emperor Group Centre scored a total of 84 points across these technical categories, outperforming not only current domestic Grade A office buildings of the same type but also excelling in energy conservation and waste reduction compared to similar properties worldwide.

 

The Emperor Group Centre in Beijing is strategically situated in the Yong’anli area, a prime location in Chang’an Avenue commercial district, serving as the Emperor Group’s mainland China headquarters. The property is among the first to receive the “Six-Star Super Grade-A Building” honour from the Beijing CBD Administration Committee. Additionally, the U.S. Green Building Council awarded the LEED Gold certification at the time of construction, highlighting the Group’s ingrained commitment to sustainable development.
