On 9 Aug 2019, through unremitting efforts, Albert Yeung Sau Shing (Changli, China) Elderly Service Centre achieved two-star rating of Hebei Province elderly demonstration institution. The star rating scheme was designed to implement the instructions of President Xi on improving the quality of elderly services, as well as to standardize the construction of elderly centre in Hebei Province, assisting provincial government to set role models for star-rated elderly demonstration institution. In previous years, the star rating scheme were only applied to private elderly service institutions, and it is being extended to public operators for the first time this year. The two-star rating of Albert Yeung Sau Shing (Changli, China) Elderly Service Centre marks a significant recognition in the elderly service industry in Changli, it is yet a record breaking achievement that none of local elderly service institution was rated with stars before.

 

Albert Yeung Sau Shing (Changli, China) Elderly Service Centre was officially in operation on 24 Jun 2016. It is co-operated and funded by The People’s Government of Changli County, Hebei Province and Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation. The centre covers an area of 53,189.4 square metres with 54.8% comprehensive green land coverage, providing a decent living environment. The centre mainly serves those with no family, no financial support and no legal dependents, as well as those who lack of basic living needs. Since its establishment, the centre has been adhering to Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation’s charity philosophy, implementing elderly-caring policy of Department of Civil Affairs of Hebei Province, committing to providing the basic needs such as food, clothing, housing, medical care and funerals to local elderly, solving their difficulties. The centre’s humanized management has been widely recognized by the society.
