Emperor Group has been always supporting the promotion of hospice care. The Group does not only has joint the fund-raising hike organized by Society for the Promotion of Hospice Care for two consecutive years, it also cooperates with Charity Federation of Hubei Province and Social Workers Across Borders to establish Hubei Province Hong Kong Emperor Elderly Care Centre, which provides specialized palliative care and hospice counseling services to terminally ill senior patients.
The Group continues its support to hospice care in 2009. The first activity of Emperor Conveyors in 2009 is visiting Bradbury Hospice, a hospital which offers specialized hospice services. Under the coordination of Society for the Promotion of Hospice Care, Mr. Louie Shum, Head of Research Department of Emperor Capital Group, led a tour to the hospital on 17 January afternoon. Our volunteers presented the patients with gift packs which contained low sugar rice cakes specially made by Emperor (Happy Valley) Hotel. They also decorated the wards with Fai Chun to add festive ambiance to the hospital.
The Group will continue to support the development of hospice care services so that more terminally ill patients and their families can be benefited.
