On 12 November 2011, Dr. Albert Yeung Sau Shing donated RMB 10 million to build "Albert Yeung Sau Shing (Shunping, China) Elderly Service Centre" in Shunping County, Hebei Province during a press conference at Beijing's Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.

In 2009, Dr. Yeung first started funding the setup and daily operation of "Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation (Shunping) Elderly Care Centre", the first service centre for senior citizens with no family support run directly by the County government. On Chinese New Year Eve 2011, Mr. Hu Jintao, the President of China, paid the centre a visit and sent warm greetings to the elderly and orphans there. The visit became headline news of Xinwen Lianbo on China Central Television on the first day of Chinese New Year, showing the government's recognition of the centre's service quality. It has subsequently sparked off a series of study tours from other relevant organizations all over the country. Leveraging this success, Dr. Yeung has decided to enhance the service with "Albert Yeung Sau Shing (Shunping, China) Elderly Service Centre", a new block built adjacent to the first benchmarking centre. This second comer will provide an area of 14,500 square metres and 650 beds, open to all senior citizens in need from the whole country.

Dr. Yeung said at the conference, "I am very honoured and encouraged to receive such acknowledgement from government officials. And I hope my involvements can help to raise more concern for the country's elderly care service."
