Dr. Albert Yeung Sau Shing, the Chairman of Emperor Group, represented Emperor Foundation to donate RMB 5 million as scholarships to Fudan University's Shanghai Institute of Visual Art on 3rd November 2006. The cheque was received by Mr. Chen Limin, the President of the University, in the presentation ceremony with the witness of Mr. Gong Xueping, the Director of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai People's Congress.
This donation is one of the many projects subsidizing education in mainland by Emperor Foundation. Over the years, the Foundation has supported mainland's education in silence and thousands of million dollars have been donated to institutions, such as PRC Education Fund of the Ministry of Justice, Peking University and China University of Political Science and Law, etc. The donations have been used to subsidize and encourage outstanding mainland students, so as to advance the education in mainland.
