Jeans for Genes Day organized by the Children's Thalassaemia Foundation and co-organized with Emperor Foundation was launched on 24 October 2005. Regardless going to work or school, all the supporters were in jeans and invited their friends to give alms liberally. All the funds raised would be used to subsidize the expenses on the medical research on Thalassaemia, the procurement of the medical equipment for the betterment of patients, the provision of counseling services and career training courses, etc in support of the patients and their families.
