We are pleased to announce that following multiple rounds of evaluations and interview assessments, Emperor Group’s legal team has been selected as the winner of Asian Legal Business (ALB)’s Hong Kong In-House Team of the Year 2026, standing out from a competitive field of candidate teams. A highly authoritative, industry-defining accolade, this recognition places the Group alongside other leading enterprises spanning a wide range of sectors.
Notably, Emperor Properties’ legal team claimed the Construction & Real Estate In-House Team of the Year title in the previous awards cycle, outperforming top industry peers to secure one of the legal profession’s most prestigious honours. The team was also shortlisted as one of the top six finalists for the Compliance & Risk Management In-House Team of the Year, ranking alongside globally recognised corporations. These two achievements not only reflect the team’s professional leadership in legal support for real estate and large-scale projects, but also underscore its well-rounded expertise in compliance and risk management, laying a solid foundation for this year’s renewed endorsement from ALB.
Organised by Asian Legal Business, a publication under Thomson Reuters, the Hong Kong In-House Team of the Year awards celebrate exceptional in-house legal teams across Asia, recognising their outstanding professional expertise, innovative mindset and business impact amid the fast-evolving legal and commercial landscape. Judging criteria cover multiple core dimensions, including revenue protection, project execution and management, cross-border governance, group-wide governance, compliance framework development, training and team growth, leadership, professional integrity and stakeholder trust.
Over the past year, Emperor Group’s legal team has demonstrated comprehensive capabilities and exemplary execution across the Group’s diversified business portfolio, spanning property investment and development, financial services, hospitality, retail and entertainment. The team has completed a series of strategic acquisitions and disposals across Hong Kong, Macao and the United Kingdom; taken part in the landmark compulsory sale project on Percival Street, Causeway Bay; supported the sales launch and handover of multiple residential developments including the MVP, One Jardine’s Lookout and No. 15 SHOUSON; and provided ongoing backing for the Group’s cross-border operations and regulatory affairs. On the entertainment front, the team has delivered end-to-end legal support for the production, sales and distribution of premium film projects, as well as music publishing and large-scale concert events — including major programmes staged at Kai Tak Sports Park.
