In November 2020, Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation (Shunping) Elderly Care Centre and Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation (Xiongzhou) Elderly Care Centre were both awarded 3 stars rating in the evaluation of demonstration institutions in Hebei Province, standing out from 550 elderly caring institutions.

 

This year, the evaluation panel assessed each nominated institution from public and private sectors by a number of process, such as materials review, field inspection, on-site demonstration and interview, which determined the rating results ranging from 1-5 stars, with more stars indicating higher quality. According to the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the final star rating of public institution is in the range of 1-3 stars. Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation (Shunping) Elderly Care Centre and Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation (Xiongzhou) Elderly Care Centre have both passed the 3 stars rating as public institutions, occupying two important seats among the 30 institutions that received 3-star ratings this year.

 

Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation (Shunping) Elderly Care Centre was established in 2009, co-founded and funded by Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation and the people's Government of Shunping County, Hebei Province. The centre actively implements the concept of "integration of medical treatment and personal care", sets up an independent medical service station, and is equipped with a team of professional medical staff and nurses to provide more convenient services for the elderly.

 

Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation (Xiongzhou) Elderly Care Centre was established in 2010, co-founded and funded by Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation and the people's Government of Xiong County, Xiong'an New District of Hebei Province. The centre has a special "Hospice Care Room" where the elderly can say goodbye to their families and finish their final journey with dignity. In addition, the centre also cooperates with local government departments and civic associations to organize visits and cultural performances on national holidays to enrich the spiritual life of the elderly.

 

In addition to the two elderly caring centres that received 3 stars rating this year, Albert Yeung Sau Shing (Shunping, China) Elderly Service Centre and Albert Yeung Sau Shing (Changli, China) Elderly Service Centre also received 3 stars and 2 stars ratings respectively in the 2019 evaluation. Today, the Foundation has contributed 10 elderly caring centers and one child Care Centre in Mainland China and Hong Kong, providing over 3,000 beds in total. For decades, Dr. Albert Yeung, Chairman of Emperor Group, has been devoted to charities for elderly caring, continuously providing strong backup to the elderly groups which are marked as "Three Noes", "Five Guarantees" and "Preferential Care".
